Thank You

11th September 2023

Our new annex has been in use for a little while now, and we are delighted by the extra space and functionality it provides. The original building has also been refurbished to provide, among other things, an inviting space to welcome clients.

We are very grateful to the people and organisations who have helped us complete the project, and would like to thank a few organisations below;

Wilmot Dixon & G Works, who demolished the old building and cleared the site, as part of their community support program.

PAP, a local building company did the foundation work for the new building.

West Country Steel Buildings, erected the warehouse.

PAP returned to lay the concrete floor and to line and plaster and decorate the inside.

In addition, PAP laid the pathway and arranged for iron gates to be made and fitted.

We have secured further grants to cover the cost of solar panels to be fitted to the new building.

REF Electrics did all the electrical work in the annex and refurbished the old building. They fitted the security system, and new Solar Panels.

The old building has been now been totally refurbished by PAP Builders.

Carlton Lord Carpets was responsible for supplying and laying all new flooring in both the warehouse and the refurbished building.

Elite Blinds have furnished our vertical blinds.

We now have a lounge where our clients can sit and have a drink while they wait for their food parcel.

Also, we now have an area where other agencies are able to be available to support our clients.

The project has been funded by grants and fundraising.

The Bridgwater Foodbank would like to thank community for continued support, because without their help we would not be able to provide the service that is required.
